Feminist perspectives in the programme

This year's programme presents very different (queer-)feminist perspectives. Phia Ménard kicks off the festival with a unique view on the history and identity of Europe – a powerful, large-scale visual theatre. The French artist stages a truly spectacular three-part performance at the Werft – we only say that much. In the context of the lecture series Talking on Water, the Argentine-Brazilian anthropologist Rita Segato, the members of the Chilean collective LASTESIS as well as the Swiss gender researcher Franziska Schutzbach will talk about feminist resistance in the public space. LASTESIS additionally hosts a workshop during the festival. It concludes with a performance on the Zentralbühne in which resistance can be experienced creatively. Talking about Zentral: Our late night format presents itself exceptionally feminist and queer – such as on the first festival weekend when artists FupaMagic and Romeo Koyote Rosen perform.
