Maja Göpel is a political economist, author, and one of the foremost voices in the discourse on the transition to a sustainable society. After working with organisations including the World Future Council and the German Federal Government, she has since dedicated herself primarily to science communication. Her non-fiction books – «Rethinking Our World», «We Can Do Better», and «Werte» – have become bestsellers, encouraging readers to take a closer look at the pivotal role human-made institutions play as drivers of societal change. Political regulations, corporate balance sheets, and ingrained social norms are far from neutral, serving particular purposes. Those purposes must be critically examined.
