The Palestinian dancers Ramz Siam & Nowwar Salem move through the sand, carrying their story forward: How to endure? How to take the next step? And how, despite all disorientation, to recognise one another? «Hollow Embraces» traces the effects of ongoing and systematic violence on the body while revealing the resilience of the mind in crisis. Drawing on their own experiences of war and displacement, the dancers turn political realities into gestures, repetitions and acts of touch. A physical narrative that makes the lived reality of Palestinians between hope and pain tangible in a moving dancework.
