Performance Requirements for Side Acts

Side Acts are performances that take place spontaneously and on a small scale on the Landiwiese. In addition to the scheduled street art performances in the outdoor performance spaces, spontaneous street art can also be presented to a limited extent and within a clearly defined framework. Unlike the registered street art performances in the outdoor performance spaces, however, there is no guarantee of a performance slot for spontaneous artists.

Static Acts:

Small-scale, intended for a small audience. Examples: Lambe Lambe, statues, short storytelling formats (no tarot).

Shows:

  • Max. 15 minutes
  • Max. four people per show
  • Max. 6 days at the festival
  • Unamplified, no loud percussion or wind instruments
  • Performance area: max. 3x3m without an audience, no acrobatics
  • Hat collection

Procedure:

Artists who arrive at the venue spontaneously can register at the info container on the festival grounds starting at 5:00 PM on the first day of the festival, August 13, 2027.

We will then review whether a performance fits our Side Act format and can be presented at the festival. This consultation with the festival organization is mandatory. The rules and guidelines set by the responsible festival staff must be strictly followed.

Accommodations:

A limited number of parking spaces are available near the festival grounds, which artists must pay for at a daily rate. Overnight stays in tents on the grounds or in the parking lots are not permitted.

Travel expenses and other compensation:

Travel expenses for artists arriving at the venue spontaneously will not be reimbursed. The festival also does not guarantee compensation in the event that a performance does not fit the Side Act format and cannot be offered. Artists travel at their own risk.
