SIMPLY PUT — WHAT IS THE ZÜRCHER THEATER SPEKTAKEL?

The Theater Spektakel is a major celebration of art and culture in the city of Zurich. It takes place every year in August in Landiwiese Park by the lake. Artists from all over the world come to Zurich for this event. The programme includes theatre, dance, music and street art. Some performances take place on indoor stages, others outdoors. Many events can be attended free of charge and without a ticket, for example every day on the Zentral stages (more information on events without tickets here). There are restaurants and bars for food and drink. You can also swim in Landiwiese Park.

The festival is intended to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. That's why there are many accessibility options, such as free solo tickets. Most of the paths in Landiwiese are wheelchair accessible.

The best way to get there by public transport is to take bus 160 or 161 to Landiwiese. The bus stop is right next to the park. Or take the S-Bahn or tram 7 to Wollishofen station. From Wollishofen station, it is about a 350-metre walk to Landiwiese Park.

There is a lot going on at the festival. There are lots of people, noises and smells. You can take a break in the Safer Space relaxation room. There are awareness officers who can support you.
