How can we talk about sex? Anna Papst and Mats Staub show the way in the Swiss premiere of «Intimate Revolution». They invite visitors to their audio wine bar where they put on a headset and enjoy a glass of wine while listening to honest re­flexions on sex – unembellished, intimate and en­ riching.

Even though sex seems to be omnipresent in the media, these two conversation artists still feel that «but few people can name what goes on inside them when they have sex.» Exactly that happens in «Intimate Revolution»: People of dif­ferent ages and genders tell of their sexual biogra­phy and how, in the course of their lives, they have become more conscious of their sexuality and have learnt new ways of expressing it. One person describes how she has managed to accept and like her body again following a mastectomy. Another reveals: «The turning point came when I complete­ly gave up control. No longer do I have to do or know anything. This is true liberation.»

Mats Staub and Anna Papst have been utilis­ing the interview as a format for some years. After supporting each other in their different projects dramaturgically, they now present their first joint long­-term project «Intimate Revolution». The in­terviews have been condensed and are read by speakers, allowing the listener to dive deep into this multilayered and complex topic. (ss)
