New in the festival team
New members of the programme team
Last November the new artistic director, Matthias von Hartz, took his post in Zurich and the preparations for the 2018 edition of the festival have since been in full swing since. He is supported by two new members of the programme group: the cultural scientist and assistant to the artistic direction Rabea Grand and the dramaturge and drama expert Maria Rössler.
Rabea Grand (*1984 in Valais, Switzerland) holds a Master in cultural sciences with a focus on sociology from the University of Lucerne. Since 2011, she has been collecting work experience in dance, theatre and performance as a freelance production manager and collaborator of various festivals. From 2012 to 2014, she was manager of the administration office of Auawirleben in Bern and, thereafter until 2017, co-created the programme of this theatre meeting as a dramaturge. As manager and founding member of Residenz Tanz Leuk and temporary collaborator of the Tanznetzwerk Reso, she is also familiar with the Swiss dance scene. From 2015 to 2017, she was a member of the theatre committee of the Stadt Zürich Kultur. Rabea Grand works and lives in Zurich.
Maria Rössler (*1987) studied theatre and media sciences in Berlin and took a Master in international dramaturgy in Amsterdam. After working as an assistant with Rimini Protokoll and lunatics production she worked for international art festivals and conferences such as Transmediale, Tanzkongress as well as for projects of the International Theatre Institute and of Wikimedia e.V. From 2013 to 2016, she collaborated in the programme development and organisation of Foreign Affairs, the international performing arts festival of the Berliner Festspiele. She supported the programme team of the cultural centre Vooruit in Gent as a freelance dramaturge and devised formats for talks and reflections for festivals in Brussels and Amsterdam. She also collaborates with various theatre artists and conducts a research with computer expert and hacker Nathan Rain on the relationship between digital technologies and social intuition. Maria lives and works in Berlin.
