STREET PERFORMANCES ON OUTDOOR SPOT

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Zürcher Theater Spektakel is one of the best-known international festivals for contemporary forms of performing arts. Street art is an integral part of the program. Defined outdoor venues are provided for performances by street artists. Interested artists can register using this online form. The closing date for applications is May 31, 2024. The number of artists and groups that can perform is limited.

PERFORMING CONDITIONS

Duration of performance Up to 30 mins, including set-up and tear-down.
Fee Pass the hat.
Suitable genres Various forms of street art. No amplified or loud instruments (brass and percussion instruments).
Application Artists who wish to perform on the outdoor spot can send in their application until May 31, 2024 with this online form. The number of street artists allowed to perform on the outdoor spot is limited. Artists showing up spontaneously during the festival might not be able to perform.
Performance slots Artists wishing to perform on the outdoor spot can enrol for one or more different performance blocks:
Performance blocks 1: Thu 15 to Tue 20 August
Performance blocks 2: Wed 21 to Mon 26 August
Performance blocks 3: Tue 27 August to Sun 1 September
Please indicate all performance blocks that are possible for you on the application form; the allocation will be done by the festival (one performance block per artist/company only).
Confirmed performances Applications are processed as they are handed in. The confirmations for one performance block per artist/company are issued by email no later than by the End of June 2024. Anyone who does not receive a confirmation by the end of June 2024 can unfortunately not perform at the festival; we apologize that we cannot send out any rejections for capacity reasons.
Accommodation The artists will be provided with a place for their own mobile home for the period of the confirmed performances. Camping is not possible on the entire festival site.
Food Artists who are registered to perform in the outdoor area will receive food vouchers for the catering on the festival grounds per day of the performance.
Liability The Zürcher Theater Spektakel does not assume any liability for injurious effects caused by the performances. Discriminating behaviour and language will not be tolerated. Artists who do not adhere to the set rules and modes of interaction will be expelled from the festival site.
