How does Theater Spektakel work with corona?

It works! With a programme containing specific formats and prescribed protective measures, we comply with the guidelines of the federal government against the pandemic. For a corona-free festival we need your co-operation: Please adhere to the guidelines listed below, which are for you and us. We look forward to a festival which allows for a shared experience of art, in spite of corona.

What we do

  • The majority of the events are designed so that you can observe physical distancing.
  • In three productions («Sun & Sea» at the Werft, «Schwarzenbach-Komplex» by ké*sarà and «VIRUS» by Yan Duyvendak in the Rote Fabrik) the distance rule cannot be ensured because the audience moves around freely. For these events, wearing a mask is mandatory.
  • Two events − the late-night show by Fatima Moumouni & Laurin Buser ans the Regular’s Table and − take place in gastronomic facilities. As in all such places, the wearing of masks is not mandatory. However, due to security reasons, we will register your contact dates.
  • In order to avoid crowds, the admission to events is phased. This requires you to arrive at the time of admission, which is clearly indicated on the ticket or the reservation confirmation. Please note that the admission time is earlier than the time at which the event starts.
  • We regularly disinfect everything you touch during our events (handrails, door handles, railing, etc.).
  • In all venues, we have sanitiser and − where mandatory - masks ready for you.

What you do

  • For events subject to cost or registration, please book your ticket or reservation in advance. The easiest way to do so is online at theaterspektakel.ch
  • For the Collective Listening evenings please decide what reservation you wish to make, whether a picnic blanket just for yourself, or together with your family, or flat-sharing community. Up to 4 people are allowed per blanket.
  • You must arrive at the time of admission indicated on your ticket. A phased admission is in the interest of all involved. We rely on your support and patience.
  • If you have symptoms of a cold or feel sick, please stay at home. Call us if you are not able to come (phone 044 415 15 50). All events have only a limited number of seats available.
  • The most important thing: Keep your distance from other guests, performers and the festival staff. Please bear this in mind when entering and leaving the venues, as well as at the freely accessible installations on the Landiwiese.
